A Kolkata-based lawyer objected to a line of Bengali version of the ad shoot. No such objections are being raised for the Hindi version of the ad shoot.

The ad promotes Coca-Cola’s new feature of a QR code scanner that allows consumers to listen to jokes. The complaint has been filed by advocate Dibyayan Banerji from Calcutta High Court. As per a report of LiveMint, the advocate said that they don’t have any problem with the Hindi version of the ad, but the Bengali dubbing had hurt the sentiments of the Bengali community.

The report added that the company had removed the Bengali version of the ad shoot. Also, the company issued a note saying that they regret the recent ad campaign and they respect the Bengali community.
