The movie OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi continues to do well at the box office, earning 12.7 crore on its second Sunday in theaters. The domestic box office performance of Oh My God 2 (OMG 2) has been strong despite stiff competition from Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.

Early projections indicate that the movie earned another 12.7 crore nett on Sunday, one day after reaching a century at the box office, according to Sacnilk.com. OMG 2 was released on August 11 alongside Gadar 2, which is almost at the 400-crore mark and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in the key roles.

OMG 2 increased its 10-day collection to 114.31 crore nett following nine days of nett receipts of 101.61 crore in India. The movie made a total of 85.05 crore nett in its first week of release after debuting at 10.26 crore and reaching its maximum day-five total of 17.1 crore. According to early estimates, OMG 2, which is currently in its second week, made 6.03 crore net on Friday, 10.53 crore net on Saturday, and 12.70 crore net on Sunday.

The movie, which deals with sex education, stars Akshay Kumar as a messenger of Lord Shiva, Pankaj Tripathi, who plays as an adherent of Lord Shiva, Kanti Sharan Mudgal, and Yami Gautam as a lawyer. Amit Rai is the director of OMG 2, which is made by Wakaoo Films, Cape Of Good Films, and Viacom 18 Studios.

According to a number of sources, the censor board put the movie on hold because it wished to proceed cautiously given its delicate subject matter. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), however, approved the movie’s release and certified it as “A” (for adults only).
