Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has made history by becoming the first ever Indian to be the global brand ambassador of the Italian fashion house Gucci. After making a stunning appearance at Met Gala red carpet, she would now become the first Indian global brand ambassador of Gucci.
On Thursday, Gucci announced Alia Bhatt will be their brand ambassador for global business. Alia Bhatt will make her first appearance at Gucci’s cruise collection show after the announcement. Gucci will present its Cruise Collection 2024 on May 15 at Gyeongbokgung in Seoul, South Korea. This show will also mark the brand’s 25 years in South Korea.
The cruise collection 2024, taking place in Seoul will pay homage to the beauty of South Korea’s culture and heritage. The CEO of Gucci said in a statement that the brand started its journey in Korea 25 years ago by opening its 1st boutique in Seoul. He added, throughout this time they have worked to strengthen the relationship with local communities supported local talents, and created a bond between cultures by preserving the unique heritage of the country.
To strengthen its commitment to preserving the unique heritage of the country, Gucci will showcase its Cruise collection in front of Geunjeongjeon Palace. This palace is considered the largest of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty. The palace was originally constructed in 1394 by King Taejo who is considered the founder of the Joseon dynasty.
Gucci’s decision to host the Cruise collection show at Geunjeongjeon is to follow its three-year agreement with Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA), which was announced last year. The agreement is one of those commitments of Gucci that aim to preserve and promote some of the most historically significant landmarks of heritage around the world.
The brand is famous for its luxurious products, which include handbags, footwear, accessories, ready-to-wear, and home decoration.
