Carl Pei’s tech start-up, Nothing, is also coming out with a new smartphone in India, but he didn’t say whether it’ll be the long-awaited Nothing Phone (3) or the curious looking CMF Phone (1). Within the same time span, there have been speculations about the company’s move, which is more controversial considering that both models are rumored to be in the works. Coming Soon all black look is rather interesting too, since it can stand as a hint to what the gizmo is likely to be.

Count “3, 2, 1” which is popular on Nothing’s Official Socials has also raised expectations for the next device to come. When reports came out initially, there was a possibility of a hearing product in use, but Nothing has said what the product is, a phone. This development was confirmed by one of the company’s co-founders Akis Evangelidis thus helping narrow down the possibilities.

There has been speculation about the launch of nothing phone (3) and CMF phone (1) in July but company has not announced any such dual launch yet. The “3, 2, 1” hint is tilted toward the nothing phone (3) instead. Given that nothing phone’s predecessors have been released in July then it is not surprising.

The series of smartphones made by Nothing Phones have an unusual semi-transparent design. Pushing this further is the recent teaser that appears to have a matte black surface, which might be consistent with the design of the CMF Phone (1). The budget version (2a), which also came with smart black exterior, still kept the semitransparent appearance of phone claiming thus locking out CMF Phone (1) into the adaptation of the fresh look.

Furthermore, there is a chance that the all-black could be used for the yet to be launched Nothing Phone (3), hinting of a possible deviation from the styled phone design. Should the new phone go for this design, it would mean that the firm has deliberate reserved its design aspects to expensive phones and thus CNF phone 1 becomes a possible further.

The teaser showed off a screw on the back of the phone, which probably hints to an impending removable back cover, adding more excitement to the teaser. As the date of the launch approaches, we are bound to see precise features that would clarify the purpose of the new device. As Nothing keeps raising expectations for its next product, it is understood that the tech fans are still on fire waiting for the executive’s official word. There are rumors that the CMF Phone (1) may be priced at Rs. 20,000 while the Nothing Phone 3 may go as high as Rs. 40,000 – 45,000. There is therefore a reasonable amount of price difference between these two devices. This therefore also implies that Nothing could be targeting a much larger audience and appealing to people with varying price points with different options for their needs and wallet.
