A valuable learning took place on the twenty of July, 2024 in Handwara, North Kashmir. This social welfare event was organized by District Kupwara, Ministry of Education along with the special permission of 30 RR Indian army unit. The function was held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School with the goal of providing immense amount of help and advice to students about options available for further studies.
The event had an impressive guest list. Chairman of District Development Council (DDC) Irfan Sultan Panditpori was the chief guest while Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan was the guest of honor. Also present were SSP Dawood Ayoub; DDC members Khurshid Ahmad Dar and Suliman Mir; Colonel Ankur Panday Commanding Officer 30 RR; Chief Education Officer Abdul Majeed Dar; representatives from consultancies; principals of Handwara’s higher secondary schools and many students and parents attended the event.

Irfan Panditpori appreciated the organizers for bringing such a comprehensive student counseling program to the area. He reminded them that such functions should regularly be conducted so as to benefit those who study in this border region. He also called upon all participants among students to actively take part in order to make the most out of what has been availed for them by the program.
Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan delivered a powerful message, calling upon students to prioritize education and take advantage of the myriad opportunities that the contemporary world provides. According to her, “Education is the only tool with which you can empower yourself and achieve the highest goals of your life.” The speaker thanked the Army’s 30 RR for its leading role in this priceless initiative.
Ms. Sudan emphasized the timeliness of information as a critical factor in achieving success. She advised students to use available resources, discover their talents and areas of interest, and make sound decisions about their future objectives. Finally, she wished them well on their educational path while stressing the importance of getting guidance and counseling at critical moments.
Sheer hope and encouragement for the students in Handwara were what this giant education event represented. The organizers gave information and guidance, which allowed them to make sound decisions about their education and their future professions. With all that, it also brought a collective goodwill of the government, military forces, and educational foundations towards its citizens. These connections can be emulated as examples of other educational outreach programs set in place in order to ensure every student in Kashmir has the resources and help necessary for success in an ever more competitive world.
