BCCI has revealed the list of players in the A squad of the Indian cricket team for the Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023. One of the names on the list was Riyan Parag. Riyan Parag is a young cricketer from Assam who is now a member of the A squad.
The Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 will take place between July 12 and 23. All matches of the tournament will take place in Colombo. While BCCI has chosen another young cricketer Yash Dhull as the captain, Riyan Parag also made it to the list with considerable effort.

Yash Dhull was the captain of the A squad last year as well. Seeing his success in winning the last year’s tournament, the council has decided to give him the captainship as well. However, the vice-captain of this year’s A squad will be Abhishek Sharma.
Apart from Yash Dhull, Abhishek Sharma, and Riyan Parag, Sai Sudharsan, and Pradosh Ranjan Paul also made it to the team this year. Sai Sudharsan showcased his skills and talent in this year’s IPL which lead to his selection for the Asia Cup 2023.
Pradosh Ranjan Paul is a young player who has earlier played for his state team. Apart from these players, Manav Suther and Yuvrajsinh Dodiya have also been selected for the team. These are the two skilled bowlers of the Indian cricket team.
The tournament will take place in two groups. The groups are named A and B. Group A consists of Sri Lanka A, Oman A, Afghanistan A, and Bangladesh A. On the other hand, group B consists of India, Nepal, Pakistan A, and UAE A.
First, there will be matches among the teams of one group. Two teams that score the most in one group will play against each other in the semifinals. The team that wins the semifinals in each group will play against the winner of the second group. The semifinals of both groups will take place on July 21. After the semifinals, the teams will have a one-day gap. The finals will take place on July 23.
